Planning Monoglass delivery and storage
Material delivery is part of the project scope. A storage plan avoids making the installer choose between an exposed loading area and a room that was never intended for construction materials.
Reserve the space
Ask the contractor for the delivery quantities, packaging dimensions and handling needs. Identify a secure storage location and a route to the work area. Check whether deliveries must be phased to keep exits, tenant routes and other trades clear.
Keep product instructions with deliveries
The manufacturer’s data sheet calls for dry fibre storage and protection of adhesive from freezing. Use the current instructions for the actual supplied products, rather than assuming all spray-applied materials have the same needs. Record who checks delivery condition and reports damaged or unsuitable supplies.
Connect storage to the programme
Allow space for equipment, supplies and waste handling in the daily plan. Agree who manages leftover material and returns at completion. Keep delivery and product records with the job documents so a later question can be traced to the installation period.
